Basic Installation Steps for a Sideboard
Sort and Inventory: Categorize and count the wooden panels based on their function to ensure all parts are present; measure the length, width, and height of each to verify the dimensions against the supplier's specifications.
Sand and Clean: Sand all panels to remove rough edges or burrs, then wipe away dust with a dry cloth to ensure a clean surface for assembly.
Install Corner Brackets: Attach one half of the corner brackets to the shelves and top panel first; the remaining halves will be installed during final assembly to ensure structural stability.
Determine Shelf Spacing: Confirm the height for each shelf according to the design plan and mark the positions before securing the shelves. Remember to account for the thickness of the shelves and ensure there is adequate clearance for the kick plate.
Install the Back Panel: Attach the back panel-typically 5mm thick-after all shelves are in place, ensuring a tight, seamless fit against the cabinet body.
Installation of sideboards made of different materials
Marble sideboard: It is necessary to confirm the on-site dimensions, let the whole house be customized or the carpenter will lay down the wood base, and reserve the size for the lower hanging (the thickness of the marble needs to be deducted).
Slate sideboard: Pay attention to the size of the rail socket, which may require secondary installation. The wall behind the laminate needs to be a load-bearing wall or a solid wall to ensure safety and stability.
Wooden sideboard: Assemble each area separately and then connect them. Pay attention to the accuracy of the dimensions to millimeters to ensure the overall effect after assembly.
